Flexi Comfort Tape
New Comfort is a beautifully designed two-tone retractable leash, equipped with an ergonomic and adjustable handle. It can be customised with the Multi Box and LED Lighting System accessories (for size S and up). With its innovative Short-Stop Braking System, the New Comfort creates a high level of safety and comfort during walks. Flexi retractable leashes never slacken as they are always subject to slight tension. With the help of the integrated braking system, you are always able to guide and command your dog. By pushing the brake button with your thumb and a slight pull on the leash you give your dog short orders or leash him back to you. An additional permanent stop function allows you to fix the flexi leash at a certain length.
- Retractable lead with chrome snap hook
- Compact and stylish design
- Secure and comfortable braking system
- Available in multiple colours

ONE OF THE BETTER FLEXI DESIGNSI’ver reviewed a number of Flexi retractable dog leads for dogs up to 50kg and this is probably the best design of the lot. The XL series and those with a thicker tape have a propensity to jam in the retraction hole at full extension because of the stitched overlap of the tape that protrudes from the handle especially in the wet. This Flexi design is so much better and though I have worn out three of them they tend not to jam or fail to retract. The retraction on the tape is strong and the lead works as well in the rain as it does in dry weather. The only minor downside is that the handle feels a little small if you have larger hands and have to wear gloves. Otherwise, I’d say this is the one to get.

Very strong and longThought it was a bit pricy but after receiving it I was surprised. I have been using it every day now for several months. It’s very robust and the mechanism is good and strong. When my beagle runs i know the locking mechanism won’t fail like the previous brand we had.A great product well worth the money if you want a long retractable lead.

Excellent quality, untwists, plenty of lead. Bought for my seven month old Akita. I tried to show on the video how it untwists itself. If like my girl your dog does a river dance before pooping and the lead twists onto itself. Its amazing how it untwists on it’s own as you get nearer your dog.Excellent quality, it is a bit more expensive than others but I should think it will last a very long time, unlike cheaper ones, that fray and the braking system fails. The two things I didn’t like are, it has no handle part like my old flexi had, but I bought a handle and the ancol shock absorber to add to her harness. The other is the sheer weight of it, on the plus side if I get mugged I can always clock them with the lead. One more thing it has a little dial/lever inside the handle part you can adjust for your hand size.

Well made but locking function is not very secureBought this to replace a similar retractable lead (which broke). This is well made, has a comfortable grip and the tape retracts without tangling.- I’d prefer it if the tape did not retract fully, retracting to 30cm would be better.- The handle has an adjustable grip part which, to me at least, seems pointless. I really don’t see what that is intended to accomplish- My previous lead had a large latch that had to be turned half a turn, to lock the lead, once locked there was zero chance of it becoming unlocked. This lead has a push button with a small sliding latch on the top; this is very easily unlocked by mistake, just by swapping hands for example. This could be very dangerous if it happened near a road for example.Overall a very good lead, but let down by insecure locking button. For that reason, I don’t like using it near a road or anywhere hazardous.

Not as good as they used to be !I bought this from Flexi as one i had bought 20 + years ago from the same manufacturer had just broken. It was a great product and lasted a really long time covering the life of 3no 40 + kilo dogs. One of my biggest issues with this new one is that the older version had a length of tape at the end of the actual lead that did not retract fully into the mechanism, which meant that when my dog was at heal, which was most of the time that the lead was loose and not constantly pulling. This version does not have that, and because it is fitted to a gentle leader and not a collar it irritates both me and the dog constantly, as it is always taught. I don’t recommend the white tape version either as it is already filthy with mud and dirt sprayed onto it. The handle is over engineered with the adjustment for hand size, the last one was one size fits all, and it worked. The locking button also is also smaller and a lot more fiddley to operate. All in all I am disappointed, I suppose I will have to live with it as they are not cheap and to costly to replace. I hope this helps others take these points into account.

Feels nice and sturdy but lock comes undone when walkingFeels sturdy and it’s nice and long but the lock undoes itself when walking which could be a bit dangerous with my reactive dog
